Mette Kolding

(aka Yogini Metta) is a native of Denmark living in Mt. Shasta,
California for the past 10 years with her husband and twin flame. Teaching yoga and
giving private sessions is Metta’s great joy and passion - when she’s not hired to do or
teach her old craft, stage acting - mostly in Denmark She’s a yoga student of 33 years,
and has studied Hatha, Astanga, Iyengar and Vinyasa yoga. In 2012 she took the
200hrs teacher’s training at Shasta Yoga Institute and has been teaching classes and
workshops there since as well as leading retreats in Greece and Denmark. Mette’s
current yoga style focuses on alignment and flow embracing the form and the formless
equally. Always deepening our relationship with the first yama…Ahimsa.
Metta is as an actor trained in dealing with the emotional body.
She also is a certified Life Coach and an Evolutionary Coach.
As a result of working in these different areas Metta has the ability to recognize and
work with the emotional body as simply: Energy in Motion as well as bringing clarity to
the mental body by paying attention to the stories that we carry…Metta has had several
Spiritual Mentors and has done energywork and metaphysical studies in Mount Shasta,
Denmark and Thailand.

Lecture:
Mapping out the inner landscape with the Chakras.
In times of great turmoil in the world and the distractions we are exposed to by being online
24/7 it’s time to pull out that map of our Inner Landscapes, sharpen our navigation tools, our
deep sense of rooting and rising as both individuals as well as a collective-universal
consciousness. We want to harness the energy from the Energy Body and anchor it in the
Physical Body, close our energy leaks and restore Balance.
There are 72.000 Nadis in our Energy Body, a proverbial delta of energy-channels running
through us. The main Nadi - the Sushumna - runs from the pelvic floor (Root Chakra) to the top
of the scull (Crown Chakra). This is our “Energy Freeway” and it needs to be attended to in
order to remain obstacle free for the Nadi system to flow freely and create the sense of
wholeness and connectedness.
The Physical body has the Fascia System as – you could
argue - the physical expression of the energy Nadis and
because we are working with the fascia (connective
tissue) in yoga, we establish a natural access to ‘the
organs’ of our energy body… The Chakras.
Yogini Metta will be giving a talk on how to introduce this
effortlessly to your students or clients whether you are a
yoga teacher and/ or a bodyworker.
Wear comfy close, we might do a pose or two…
